Paul Pogba on verge of break long-standing Manchester United record in World Cup final

Paul Pogba will break a long-standing Manchester United record if he can help guide France to victory in Sunday’s World Cup final.

France are up against Croatia at the Luhzniki Stadium in Moscow after defeating Belgium 1-0 in the semi-finals, whilst Zlatko Dalić’s men narrowly beat England 2-1 after extra-time.

Pogba is expected to start in midfield, as he done throughout the whole tournament, where he’s impressed in a two-man pivot with Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.

If France go on to lift their second ever World Cup, Pogba will become the first Man United player to lift the iconic trophy while at the club since England’s 1966 triumph.

Didier Deschamps’ and his French stars will be dreading the thought of defeat on Sunday, following their devastating European Championships final defeat against Portugal in their home nation.
