Manchester United have ‘major interest’ in Bordeaux forward Malcom

Manchester United are reportedly very interested in signing young Bordeaux forward Malcom to bolster their attacking options.

The Brazilian has been subject of interest from top clubs for a few transfer windows now and nearly moved to Premier League rivals Arsenal in January.

Man United have been eyeing a new right winger for some time, with Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale at the top of Jose Mourinho and Ed Woodward’s lists, and the 21-year-old has been considered.

Sunday Times journalist Duncan Castles has claimed that United have a “major interest” in the starlet and have been “extensively” scouting his progress in France.

Young FC Porto right-back Diogo Dalot also arrived to provide strong competition for Antonio Valencia, and has been training at the Aon Training Complex this week.

Third summer signing Lee Grant has also been in Carrington to train alongside Joel Pereira, with David de Gea still on holiday and Sergio Romero injured, and they’ll be in the squad that flies out to America on Sunday.
